The network on Monday night proclaimed
its new bachelor can be Rachel Lindsay; a 31-year-old
attorney from Dallas WHO can be the primary carbon within the history
of "The Bachelor" or production "The Bachelor."
"The Bachelor" is in the midst of airing Season
twenty one, with suitor Nick Villa. Lindsay will star in
Season thirteen of "The Bachelor." The announcement, made on
"Jimmy Skimmer Live!," comes after years of criticism for the shows'
lack of casting diversity. ABC president Canning Dunged, the first Black person
to guide the network, responded to questions on the dearth of diversity last
summer during the TV Critics Association press tour, saying she would
"very a lot of like to check some changes
there." "I think one of the largest changes that we'd like to try and do is we'd like to extend the pool of numerous candidates within the starting,
because half of what winds up happening as we tend to go on is there simply are
not as several candidates to ultimately find yourself within the role of
consecutive bachelor or bachelor," she told reporters at the time.
"So that is something we actually wish to place some effort and energy
towards." The leads for "The Bachelor" and "The
Bachelor" are usually chosen from the pool of candidates WHO did not win
the previous season of the sister show. Lindsay is currently competitive on the current season of
"The Bachelor." (So, spoilers alert.) After the announcement, Vial tweeted his congratulations to Lindsay.
